ash manages your accounts, versions and instances, and launches the game. It is built for competitive play: stripped-back interface, no bundled visual extras, and a deliberate focus on performance.

The installer isn’t signed yet, so Windows may say “Windows protected your PC”. Choose More info, then Run anyway. After that, ash updates itself, and asks you first.

What ash does

Signs you in with your Microsoft account. ash does not support offline or unauthenticated accounts, and never will.
Downloads game files directly from Mojang’s own servers and verifies every file against its published hash. ash does not mirror, host or redistribute any game content.
Keeps each instance separate, so different versions never overwrite each other’s saves, settings or resource packs.
Adds presentation-layer features only — things that change how the game is displayed, never how it plays. ash does not modify reach or hitboxes, and contains no autoclicker, aim assist, X-ray or entity tracers.
